Author Archives: Lyndi

Lyndi Alexander dreamed for many years of being a spaceship captain, but settled instead for inspired excursions into fictional places with fascinating companions from her imagination that she likes to share with others. She has been a published writer for over thirty years, including seven years as a reporter and editor at a newspaper
in Homestead, Florida. Her list of publications is eclectic, from science
fiction to romance to horror, from tech reporting to television reviews.
Lyndi is married to an absent-minded computer geek. Together, they have a dozen computers, seven children and a full house in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Book 2 & 3 have covers!

For information on the storylines and other updates, see the Dragonfly Publishing homepage here. How exciting is this? (P.S. The ‘read about’ is from the DFP page–if you want to read about them, you’ll have to go there. Best I can do. Damn it, Jim, I’m a writer, not a computer artist.  :)  )

How Do You Love a Writer?

See M. Christian’s post about writers and readers and how we need each other–in moderation.

Why Use Submission Agents?

By Terri Branson Authors in old writing conclaves seem stuck in the 1980s, when the only way to get a publisher to read a manuscript was to send it through an agent. It’s just how it was done for decades. But do most writers know “why” it was done that way? My guess is not.  [...]

A Books Blog

The Elf Queen at A Books Blog yesterday…we’re spreading the word!

Five stars again…

Another five-star Amazon review, today. I’m so very blessed. And nearly done with the second draft of The Elf Child. Everything is progressing as it should. Happy reading! Lyndi

Another great review!

Reviewer Rebecca Emrich shares her thoughts on The Elf Queen at her blog, Living a Life of Writing. Thanks for your review, Rebecca!

The Henley endorsement

A rousing fine review at Amazon from writer Hank Henley; see his informal recommendation at News from Constantinople!

Brazen hussy that I am…

I took a stack of my promotional Postcards (which are beautiful, btw–thanks DEENA!!) advertising not only the book, but the October booksigning, to an all-day Continuing Education seminar and scattered them casually on the snack table. Most of them were gone by day’s end. Guess that’s how it’s done! Happy reading! Lyndi

Books Two and Three on the way!

I received the contracts in the mail today for The Elf Child, due out next summer, and The Elf Mage, set for 2012, barring the end of the world as we know it.  Can’t WAIT to see Lane as a technomage…  all is well in Bitterroot territory.  Stay tuned! Happy reading! Lyndi

Getting the word out

This weekend I’ve tried to spread the word around about the series, including a post at Red Room . I’ve submitted a blog, too, at Savvy Authors, which should post on September 4. We’ve sent a round of books for review and we keep reminding people on Facebook and my other blogs to come visit. We [...]

Welcome, Joel!

Today I got a part-time publicist to help get the news of our Clan Elves out there in the world. He’s busily digging up media venues and sending out review copies of the book. It’s great to have him here. Feels like a real book driving machine! Happy reading! Lyndi

Our first review at Amazon!

This is so exciting! This review is from: The Elf Queen (Clan Elves of the Bitterroot) (Kindle Edition) I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was well written and interesting. If you enjoy fantasy….and letting your mind wander…and wonder…about other worlds or beings ~ then this is up your alley. A quick and easy read as [...]

The Clan Elves arrive!

AS AUGUST begins, so does the opportunity to share this series with you, the reader. I’m well into the first draft of the second novel, tentatively titled Clan Elves Book 2. Catchy, huh? I’m sure something better will come along, because the intrigue among the members of the clans and those cast out continues to [...]
